THE BEST & EASIEST CHOCOLATE SAUCE

If you only ever have one Chocolate Sauce recipe, it should be this one!

It's great for dipping, pouring on ice-cream, spreading on pancakes or waffles and is the ultimate topping on any self-respecting Banana Split.  Create a sumptuous saunce in minutes and, if any's left, it will keep in the fridge for a couple of weeks.

Put these in a pan over a low heat:

200 g broken up dark chocolate
1 teaspoon of instant coffee granules
80g sugar (whatever's in the cupboard)
120 ml water

Once everything has melted stir in 125 ml of cream (double or whipping), increase the heat until the sauce is smooth and hot (but not boiling).  That's it  -  enjoy!
