Saunders is a small family run business and have been making chocolates since 2003. We are situated in the Old Stable Block at Crofton Hall, surrounded by the northern fells and stunning Solway Coast of rural Cumbria. We take great pride in our chocolates.

Traditional Artisan Techniques

Our production unit may look state-of-the-art, but we still pipe, marble and decorate each chocolate individually, and hand-roll all our truffles in the artisan way. From tempering the chocolate, creating our unique flavour combinations, to finishing and packaging, each chocolate has been handcrafted with care for you to enjoy.


Sustainably Sourced Chocolate

We are proud to say our chocolates are made using the finest Barry Callebaut Belgian chocolate. As much as possible the cocoa beans are bought directly from farmer groups, this ensures the farmers earn a better price for their crops and can improve their livelihoods. Each chocolate we make supports farmers, provides training and empowers women to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into a reality.
